A very happy new year to all of my fantastic readers! I hope that 2014 is filled with joyous moments and wonderful memories for each and every one of you. One of my goals at the beginning of 2013 was to start a blog, and thanks to your support throughout the last 6 months I am still going strong without any plans to slow down in the new year. It really does mean a lot to me, so thanks again. I can only hope my photos over the coming year are interesting enough to keep you with me until the end of 2014!
One of the most beautiful lochs we visited in Scotland was Loch Katrine, but we had a bit of trouble getting there. Due to some poor research on my part we ended up driving to the wrong end of the loch! At which there was no tour boat to be found, just a small cafe serving sandwiches.
Fortunately we were treated to some incredible views along the way, including this one which I think looks out across Loch Arklet. I can’t be sure because at no point was I all that certain where on the map we were. Views like this definitely made the unexpected detour a pleasure, and I’m confident that when driving around the Scottish Highlands you really can’t go wrong. The landscape is stunning in every direction!
