Weekly Photo Challenge: Good Morning!

Sunset, Loch Leven, Scotland

While my shot for this week’s photo challenge may have been taken at sunset, it’s one of the first things I see every morning. Taken at Loch Leven in the Scottish Highlands, this picture hangs on the wall in our living room. Looking at it each morning takes me away, just for a moment, to that time and place. It’s a fantastic way to start the day, and I love watching the changing light of sunrise bring the colours in the image to life.

It’s great to have some of my own photos up in our apartment, they serve as a constant reminder of good times and never fail to lift my mood. Do you have any photos hanging in your home? Do they make you smile in the morning?

Thanks Sam, I thought that too! The colours in the scene really blew me away, I love the soft pink and yellow shades. To be honest I couldn’t quite believe it was real! But I’ve not touched this photo at all in post-processing, it really is exactly how it looked.

Thanks Charlie. The best sunsets I’ve seen were in Scotland, and the landscapes are just perfect for shots like this.

Beautiful shot – and so nice that you got it printed out too, I have so many photos sitting in my computer and got as far as buying a few frames but not yet managed to decide which ones to use yet!

Thanks Lucy. Haha, yeah we were in that state for a while! But we have a few up now and we’re really happy that we finally got around do doing it.

As strange as it seems I always had a bad feeling about hanging my pictures on the walls of my home.. In my head it was feeling like I’m in trap of my past or smth like that.. But you know what, I grew a bit smarter and I think that having pictures and appreciating the moments in your past from those pictures is much more precious than any pricy picture or painting. Picture is amazing, I’ve never been to Scotland, though. Really good shot.. And a very good idea to hang it on the wall as well 🙂 I think I’ll hang at least one of my pictures! 😀 thanks 🙂

Thank you! 🙂 That’s great you’ve decided to hang some of your own pictures on the wall, much better something personal than a piece of art created by somebody else. Each time I look at this one it reminds me how beautiful the world is and to appreciate what I have in life.
